About Julie (Jules) Gardner
Thirty-five years ago, I had a profound awakening realizing that I had been sexually abused by my mother and that all the obsessive over-eating, drinking, and drug use was generated by the sheer shame and guilt of my past trauma without even knowing it. After thirty-five years of doing my own healing work, I knew I was ready to accept the mantel of my Divine Purpose, my Soul's Path & Mission to help others out of the darkness and silence of their past trauma to heal.

For over twenty-five years, I practiced as a professional Interior Architect/ Interior Designer, then transformed into the role of Business Development for several global architecture firms for another nineteen years. While teaching Interior Architecture/Interior Design at the college level for ten years, I also coached and mentored hundreds of students during my tenure at the Art Institute of Atlanta. Additionally I worked for the Savannah College of Art and Design as a student and alumni advocate, mentoring and coaching numerous students and alumni to career success. My mentoring experience continued while at Lifespring, where I coached adults in personal and professional transformation and leadership.
I am a staunch advocate of the Twelve Step programs; these programs literally saved my life.
I became a Trauma THRIVER Advocate™, founding and running Compassion in Action with Jules. My goal is to support, mentor, educate and normalize the conversation for people who have experienced incest and/or sexual abuse.
A passionate trailblazing advocate, my greatest desire is to continuously improve. By taking psychological ownership of what I say and what I do, l am a responsible leader and team member. Quickly seeing the relevant patterns and issues, I can easily create alternative ways to move forward. With my long history of making things happen, I have the ability to implement and to see things through to completion. I possess an inordinate amount of stamina to work hard and be productive. Naturally intrigued by the uniqueness of each person, and being exceptionally empathic, gives me the competency to be able to know how others feel about themselves or situations. Therefore, I can readily recognize the potential in others, enjoy cultivating their budding strengths and live for the signs that they are improving.
I want to be your BEACON!

I have carefully crafted the Survivor to THRIVER with Jules Program™ introducing my personally curated process based on my experience, strength and hope called The THRIVER Method™, one gentle step at a time, with focus on healing The Legacy of Abuse (as cited from Survivors of Incest Anonymous World Wide Organization) and the four pillars that support The THRIVER Legacy™: Inner Child, Boundaries, Co-Dependency, Self-Care/Self-Love.
